Investing in classic staple pieces like an oversized white shirt is a great way to get the most out of your clothes and means you have the basis to create multiple looks out of one key item. I’ve created three different looks for you to take inspo from and linked some optionsbelow if you fancy investing in some new pieces. Let me know what you think!
Look 1
The Shirt: I bought mine on Zara and love the exaggerated sleeves. They have some other fab ones too which I’ll link below. I find an oversized style is perfect for tucking into jeans and wearing inside dresses.
Zara – Oversized Poplin Shirt
New Look – Oversized shirt
And Other Stories – Pearl button detail
The Jeans: I’m 5″1 with 25 inch legs so finding the right jeans can be quiet the task! But I have found the perfect pair of skinny’s for my fellow petite ladies. I love New Look denim and have bought jeans there for years. River Island are fool proof too, I’ve linked some of my fave styles below.
New Look – Jenna Lift and Shape
River Island – Hailey Jeans
Topshop – Jamie Jeans
Look 2
The Bralet: I love an underwear as outerwear vibe, a perfect way to get an “out out” look from your oversized shirt!
Boohoo – Cupped Bralet
Pretty Little Thing – Bandeau Bralet
Zara – Cropped Bralet
The Leggings: I think every girl has a pair of leather- look leggings in her wardrobe. I’m obsessed with this pair I bought from Irish company Verso Fashion, you can head over to my Instagram @michaelakeating12 to check out other ways I styled them up.
Verso – Harley Leggings
Spanx – Leather look
Asos – Faux Leather
Look 3
The Dress: A tweed dress is perfect for serving a ‘Clueless’ vibe over your shirt. Pop on a belt to cinch in the waist, et voila!I bought mine from Zara about two years ago but there’s lots of cute tweedy numbers online that you can invest in to create the look.
Asos – Pink Tweed Dress
Zara – Tweed Pinafore Dress
Asos- Black Tweed Dress
I hope you got some inspo from this post and if you recreate one of the looks, please feel free to tag me in your pics!
Happy shopping,
Michaela x
